Group B – World Cup Brazil – Astrology Preview

Can Horary Astrology forecast any trends in the group stage of World Cup Brazil 2014? In this article, we will take a look at Group B: Spain, Netherlands,  Chile and Australia. We will test to which extent can the chart of the 1st match predict trends of the entire group.

In this analysis we adapt some techniques of John Frawley’s method as explained in his book Sports Astrology. I remind the reader that this is only an experiment in Horary Astrology. As far as I know, this method – 4 teams analysis with the first chart – was never published or tested before as it is shown in this website.

1st Match of the Group  B – SPAIN vs NETHERLANDS (13 June 2014, 4 pm., Salvador , local time)

mapa-grupob

Favourites (according to the bookies, just before the first match): 1st Spain; 2nd Netherlands; 3rd Chile; 4th Australia.

Rounds

1st Round : Spain vs Netherlands; Chile vs Australia

2nd Round: Australia vs Netherlands; Chile vs Spain

3rd Round: Netherlands vs Chile; Australia vs Spain

We could consider the most favourite team being represented by the 10th House and is ruler; the 2nd (only two can pass this stage), by the first house and its ruler; the 3rd to the 7th house and its ruler; the underdogs, by the 4th House and its ruler. So the four Angles are associated with the 4 teams. The Highest in rank: the 10th House. The lowest in the rank: the 4th House.

The first round would be represented by the first 5 degrees of the Moon; the second round, by the following 5 degrees of the Moon; the last round by the last 5 degrees of the Moon within a total of 15 degrees.

Antiscia points are considered, but less important than the zodiacal position of the planets.

Spain are represented by Leo and its ruler: the Sun. Netherlands are represented by Sagitarius and Jupiter. Chile are represented by Gemini and Mercury. Australia are represented by Aquarius and Saturn.

If this experimental method works, we could say that:

– First Round: better start for Chile (the Moon applies to Mercury within the first 5 degrees) and not so good for the Netherlands (Jupiter’s antiscion falls inside the 7th House)

Second round : slight improvement for Spain (the Moon opposes the Sun’s Antiscion).

Third round : some surprises (and/or referee interferences) because the Moon conjuncts Pluto and opposes the Antiscion of the Part of Fortune, which does not help the expected winners in the last round and suggest a twist in the final classifications.

So overall, we could consider a better start for Chile, odds against the Netherlands in the beginning, Spain improving in the second round and difficulties for the favourites in the last round (considering the previous one). Possibility of unfair/ incorrect referee decisions in the last round. Overall, few chances for Australia (the Moon does not aspetc Saturn or its Antiscion) even if with a better performance in the end.

Let’s see how the group ends. Let the best team Win!

COMMENT AFTER THE GROUP IS OVER:

In general, this method worked very well for the 1st round of all groups; reasonably well for the 2nd round; and poorly for the 3rd round. However, in this Group B, the analysis was incorrect since the beginning because of one technical mistake: the Moon opposing Mercury – Dispositor of the Part of Fortune – a big testimony for the defeat of the big favourite: Spain, in the 1st match.

Results

1st Round: Chile 3 – Australia 1; Netherlands 5 – Spain 1

2nd Round: Netherlands 3 – Australia 2; Chile 2 – Spain 0

3rd Round: Spain 3 – Australia 0; Netherlands 2 – Chile 0

Proceeding to the next stage: Netherlands and Chile (big favourite, out)

Nevertheless, what was ok?

In the first round: “better start for Chile”  (Chile won)

In the second round: “slight improvement for Spain” (Spain lost 2-0 in this game; 5-1 in the game before)

In the third round: “some surprises which does not help the expected winners”  one of the favourites since the beginning (Spain) was out of the tournament. “Poor performance of Australia” (lost all 3 games)

In future, is is clear the charts of the other rounds should be also take into account. Considering all the groups , this was clearly the worst astrological analysis (because of the argument stated before). Only a test, as we said. Thank you!
