House 3 – Communication and Circuits

Do you know what is your communication style, intelligence type and time management tendency?

We saw in previous sections that the Ascendant and House 1 is the main gate of the palace that is our life. In a certain way, it is our mask and destiny.

House 2 is the trunk where we keep our securities and personal values, it is the safe.

House 3 is our means of communication: Radio, Television, Mobile Phone, Internet, Car, among others.

It reveals our interaction with the space that surrounds us, how we move and circulate in the world, our daily and practical activities.

In a certain way, House 3 reports the first learning experiences at school, where we acquire fundamental languages as the Portuguese language, Mathematics, among others.

So, House 3 represents the practical intelligence, the direct and immediate forms of learning, as in a workshop or intense course, in contrast with the long theoretical studies associated with House 9.

The expression style and voice are also attributed to House 3. Great singers like Pavarotti, Bono and Sting have the Sun positioned in this House.

Many writers and personalities from the means of communication such as newspapers, magazines and television have important planets positioned in this area of life.

Deep down, House 3 symbolizes the experience of the daily life, the experience of present Time, the “Here and Now”, in contrast with House 9 that symbolizes the concern with “Tomorrow”.

House 3 is also associated to the relationship with close family: brothers or cousins, and to what extent were they important in our development. But generally, it can reveal our type of “Intelligence”.

A person with a very sharp and analytical intelligence can have Mars positioned in this House. There will be a tendency to be aggressive when speaking.

A person with the Moon in House 3 may be shy when communicating, have a talent for drawing and have a more emotional and intuitive intelligence.

A person with Venus in House 3 will have a tendency to have a sweet voice and talent for singing.

A stage actor, a teacher or even a politician may have Jupiter in this House, since the linguistic expression will naturally be easy.

With Mercury in this position, the individual will normally be more curious, with a practical skill for communications, like an engineer or journalist.

With Saturn in House 3, there will be at first some expression difficulties or even traumas from the school phase. However, time will help you to become much respected due to the confidence you transmit when speaking.

It will be important to have a planned and organized day-to-day, with schedules, accepting what is real instead of the getaway ideal.

If by chance you were born at early dawn, i.e., approximately between midnight and 3:00 a.m., depending on the country and time of year, you will have the Sun positioned in House 3.

If that is the case, it will be fundamental that you are aware of your power of communication, whether by voice, writing or other means, in order to spread a positive message in the world.

Live each day as a new one, keep learning and spread what you know.

Besides the already mentioned famous personalities (singers) with the Sun in House 3, these are also noteworthy: Bob Marley; Elizabeth Taylor; Jim Carrey, among others.

This House is equally important if there is more than one planet positioned in it. To verify this, and in case you do not have your map yet, please refer to the annex at the end of the ebook Houses of Happiness (free download here).

House 3 has a natural affinity with Gemini, the third sign of the Zodiac.
