House 5 – Freedom and Fun

Do you know what you can do to increase your joy of living?

We saw that House 1 and the Ascendant represent the main gate of the palace that is our life: our face, body and destiny.

House 2 is the safe: personal securities and ideals.

House 3 is television: communication and learning channels.

House 4 is the land where our palace is rooted in and its’ foundations.

House 5 is the personal Playground, i.e., the garden, pool, park, playroom, gymnasium, etc. It is all the space for leisure, relaxation and liberating physical activity.

It is the great internal “stage”. It is associated to the expression of creativity, arts, sports and all activities that stimulate vitality and physical, emotional and mental pleasure.

House 5 allows us to feel young and a teenager forever, with the single concern of fun and discovery.

It is a House of risk and a feeling of freedom, suitable to those who live in total leisure, relaxation and joy. It is a House much “filled” in maps of actors, athletes, entertainers and creative people.

It is the children’s House, usually in what they represent of most spontaneous and unplanned. So, it is more associated to children that are the result of a non-official relationship through traditional marriage.

Obviously, House 5 is associated to romance, flirting and sexuality. It can reveal to what extent we are comfortable with life and sexuality in its most lucid sense and pure pleasure.

For instance, Jupiter in House 5 can indicate a natural capability for fun, disinhibition and sexual adventure.

Saturn in House 5 will show a more controlled and disciplined facet when it comes to dealing with pleasure, fun and love “adventures”.

Sun in House 5 may suggest a person with a strong sense of freedom, ego and youthful spirit, comfortable in expressing its inner “child”.

Mars in House 5 is common in people skilled in sports, with lots of physical and sexual energy.

Moon in House 5 will also indicate a strong imaginative potential, as well as a cyclic need of living with true joy and romance.

Mercury in House 5 is frequent in people with talent for creative writing, while Venus in this house represents easiness in living love, romance, sexuality and arts, through dance or theatre, for instance.

If you were born close to midnight, approximately between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., depending on the country and time of year, you will have the Sun positioned in House 5.

If that is the case, relationship with children and full acceptance of freedom to live may be important consciousness goals. Sports, preferably outdoor ones, as well as general leisure and creative expression will desirably become purposes of life.

Also learn to live relationships with a certain detachment but with a lot passion and youthful spirit.

Some famous personalities with the Sun in House 5 are: Bon Jovi; Prince Charles; among others.

This House is equally important if there is more than one planet positioned in it. To verify this, and in case you do not have your map yet, please refer to the annex at the end of the Ebook Houses of Happiness (free download here).

House 5 has a natural affinity with Leo, the fifth sign of the Zodiac.
